Sadly, the Orange Cove Titans are still looking for their first win of the season after 24 contests. They fell to Wonderful College Prep Academy 36-30. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Orange Cove of the 18-14 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture two weeks ago.
Wonderful College Prep Academy was led to victory by Sandy Ulloa and Samantha Maldonado. Ulloa scored 13 points, while Maldonado scored 16 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Maldonado has scored at least a third of Wonderful College Prep Academy's points.
Orange Cove dropped their record down to 0-24 with that loss, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Wonderful College Prep Academy, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-16.
Orange Cove will face off against Summit Charter Collegiate Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wonderful College Prep Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Farmersville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wonderful College Prep Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1215th, while Farmersville is ranked 578th).
