Sierra hasn't had much luck against Liberty recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Chieftains will head out to take on the Hawks at 4:00 p.m. Sierra is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.
Sierra barely beat Fresno Christian the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Chieftains never let the Eagle get on the board and left with an 18-0 victory on Friday. The Chieftains haven't had any issues with the Eagle recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Sierra always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fresno Christian only posted an OBP of .091.
Meanwhile, Liberty made easy work of Yosemite on Friday and carried off a 7-0 victory. That's two games straight that the Hawks have won by exactly seven runs.
The result came thanks to Damian Sandate's shutout, as he gave up just two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Carson Groh was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Liberty: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 7-13 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Mario Navarro, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Sierra's record is now 19-6. As for Liberty, their record now sits at 11-13.
Sierra beat Liberty 8-3 when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Will the Chieftains repeat their success, or do the Hawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
