Basketball Recap: Ana Maria Guerrier's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Crawford over Patrick Henry

Crawford lost against Patrick Henry back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Crawford Colts took a 32-19 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patrick Henry Patriots. The Colts' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Several Colts players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ana Maria Guerrier, who posted five points along with five rebounds and three blocks. That's the most blocks Guerrier has posted since back in December of 2023. Monique Taylor was another key player, putting up four points and three steals.

Kimora Nears was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 11 boards for Patrick Henry. Another player making a difference was Ally Mangahis, who earned seven points and four steals.

Crawford's loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Patrick Henry, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

Crawford will challenge San Diego at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Patrick Henry, they will face off against Mission Bay at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Patrick Henry is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51 points per game this season.
