The Riverview Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 37 points or more this season. They blew past East Allegheny 56-17 at home. With that victory, Riverview brought their scoring average up to 50.8 points per game.
Riverview was led to victory by Katerina Tsambis and Lola Abraham. Tsambis scored 18 points along with four steals, while Abraham scored ten points along with six rebounds and five steals. The match was Abraham's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Juliette Brun, who scored six points along with five rebounds and four steals.
The win makes it two in a row for Riverview and bumps their season record up to 3-1. As for East Allegheny, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Riverview will be home for the holidays to greet Apollo Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. East Allegheny will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Seton LaSalle at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
