After a string of four wins, the Ontario Jaguars's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a hard 50-34 fall against Montclair. Ontario has not had much luck with Montclair recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Ontario's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gisselle Mercado, who scored four points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Jade Martinez, who scored six points along with three blocks.
Ontario's defeat dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Montclair, their victory bumped their record up to 11-4.
Ontario will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Chaffey at 5:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024. Montclair will be home for the holidays to greet Kaiser at 2:30 p.m. on Friday.
