Covina is 8-2 against Wilson since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Covina will look to defend their home field against Wilson at 3:30 p.m. Covina's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Wilson's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
On Friday, Covina had just enough and edged out Sunny Hills 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Colts.

C. Guzman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up six Ks. He is becoming a predictor of Covina's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 3-1 (and 2-4 when he doesn't).
On the hitting side, Covina saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was L. Thorpe, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Wilson faced off against Bosco Tech on Friday. Wilson lost 16-5 to Bosco Tech.
Karl Cruz was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Salo, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Wilson's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Covina, the win got them back to even at 5-5.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Covina has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Wilson struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Everything went Covina's way against Wilson when the teams last played back in April of 2019, as Covina made off with a 9-1 victory. Will Covina repeat their success, or does Wilson has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
