Montgomery's loss came despite strong showings from Falin Reynolds and Madisyn Miller. Reynolds scored nine points along with six rebounds, while Miller scored six points along with five rebounds. Reynolds scored a full 29% of Montgomery's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Montgomery has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Northumberland Christian, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-5.
Montgomery will play host again and welcome Millville, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Millville is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Northumberland Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Meadowbrook Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
