The Shenandoah Valley Blue Devils will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Bloomsburg Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 50-20, which was the final score in Shenandoah Valley's tilt against Marian Catholic last Friday. While losing is never fun, Shenandoah Valley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 362nd, while Marian Catholic is ranked 71st).
Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Bloomsburg's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They suffered a rough 56-30 defeat at the hands of Shikellamy. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Bloomsburg has scored all season.
Shenandoah Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Bloomsburg, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-2.
