The Bravo Knights will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against the Santa Fe Chiefs at 4:30 p.m. on December 27th.
On Saturday, Bravo might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Serra an easy 51-29 win.
Despite their defeat, Bravo saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Caileigh Cruz, who scored 14 points, was perhaps the best of all. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Jade Fernandez, who scored ten points.
Santa Fe has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 21 points or more this season. They blew past Montebello 44-23. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Santa Fe.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Santa Fe to victory, but perhaps none more so than Abigail Cetina, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Serenity Fausto, who scored nine points.
Bravo's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Santa Fe, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4.
Keep an eye on the arc in Wednesday's contest: Bravo have made nailing deep shots look easy this year this season, having only averaged 6.9 threes per game. It's a different story for Santa Fe, though, as they've been averaging only 3.8 threes per game. Given Bravo's sizeable advantage in that area, Santa Fe will need to find a way to close that gap.
