The Oceana Sharks scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. Everything went their way against Design Tech as Oceana made off with a 62-39 win. Considering Oceana has won three contests by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Despite the defeat, Design Tech had strong showings from Jewel Wilson, who scored 15 points, and Emerson "Emi" LaPedis, who scored ten points along with three steals. Wilson scored a full 38.5% of Design Tech's points, the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
The victory got Oceana back to even at 3-3. As for Design Tech, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oceana won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Pacific Bay Christian at 1:15 p.m. on December 16th. Pacific Bay Christian is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. Design Tech will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on The Nueva School at 3:30 p.m. on January 10, 2024.
