Football Recap: Osage City Skates Past Atchison County with Ease

With a playoff win on the line, Osage City rose to the challenge on Friday. They blew past the Atchison County Tigers, posting a 60-7 win. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by 28 points or more this season.

Osage City got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Reed Silver out in front who threw for 138 yards and three TDs on perfect 8-for-8 passing, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground. What's more, Silver racked up 177.1 passer rating, the most he's had since back in September of 2024. Dylan Theel was another key player, gaining 99 total yards and three touchdowns.

Osage City was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 207 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 207 rushing yards in three consecutive matchups.

Osage City's record is now 9-1. As for Atchison County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Osage City will take on Caney Valley on Friday. The Indians will need to watch out since the Bullpups have now posted at least 31 points in their last six contests. Atchison County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
