The Kennedy Cavaliers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell 49-40 to Poolesville. Kennedy has not had much luck with Poolesville recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Poolesville got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Breanna Salovich out in front who scored 20 points along with four steals. Alex Sosna was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with eight rebounds and eight steals.
Kennedy's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Poolesville, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kennedy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Quince Orchard at 6:00 p.m. on February 20th. As for Poolesville, they will head out on the road to face off against Northwood at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Northwood is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
