The Otto-Eldred Terrors entered their tilt with the Galeton Tigers with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Otto-Eldred simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Galeton 54-11 at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Otto-Eldred has managed all season.
Otto-Eldred's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Carrie Drummond, who scored ten points along with six assists and five steals. Drummond hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Rayel Hakes, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.
Despite the loss, Galeton still got an impressive performance from Lynlee Basile, who scored eight points. That was a full 72.7% of Galeton's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Otto-Eldred has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Galeton, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-16.
Otto-Eldred will head out on the road to challenge Austin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Austin is coming into the match with four straight victories at home, meaning Otto-Eldred will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory. Galeton will take on Smethport at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Galeton comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 20 points in their last 16 games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
