The Marina Vikings came tearing into Wednesday's contest with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.6 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 43-32 victory over Laguna Beach. Given Marina's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 286th, while the Breakers are ranked 716th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Marina got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Rylee Bradley out in front who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. Bradley hasn't dropped below 15 points for eight straight games. Another player making a difference was Haley Nguyen, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Marina pushed their record up to 20-8 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.8 points per game. As for Laguna Beach, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-21.
Marina does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Laguna Beach also has no future games currently scheduled.
