The Rubidoux Falcons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 46-12 loss at the hands of Colton. Rubidoux was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Colton apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Colton found their leader in underclassman Naomi Ontiveros, who scored seven points along with six blocks. Those six blocks set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Savannah Govea, who scored ten points along with four steals.
Rubidoux's loss was their fifth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-10. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 17.0 points per game. As for Colton, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.
Rubidoux and Alemany will round out the year against one another at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday at. Colton will be home for the holidays to greet Grand Terrace at 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
