The Palmdale Aerospace Academy Griffins's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their 12th straight loss. They were beaten by Quartz Hill 64-3. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points The Palmdale Aerospace Academy has scored all season.
Mandy Frozina was her usual excellent self, scoring 23 points along with five assists and three steals for Quartz Hill. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Frozina has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashantee Palmer, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
The Palmdale Aerospace Academy bumped their record down to 2-15 with that loss, which was their seventh straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 17.3 points per game. As for Quartz Hill, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season.
The Palmdale Aerospace Academy will head out on the road to face off against St. Genevieve at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Quartz Hill, they will be playing at home against Eastside at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Eastside is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
