South is 0-10 against the Blades since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The South Spartans will head out on the road to take on the East Bakersfield Blades at 6:30 p.m. South is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
Last Tuesday, South was beaten by the Vikings 70-20. South has not had much luck with the Vikings recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Meanwhile, East Bakersfield had to suffer through a rough 82-12 loss at the hands of the Warriors. East Bakersfield was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-10.
South has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season. As for East Bakersfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-12.
South was taken down by the Blades 61-30 in their previous matchup back in January. Can South avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
