The Trinity Classical Academy Knights will venture away from home to square off against the Western Christian Fighting Lancers at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Trinity Classical Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11 runs per game this season.
Trinity Classical Academy was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Canyon on Thursday. Trinity Classical Academy never let Canyon get on the board and left with an 8-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won three games by eight runs or more so far this season.
Canyon's batters probably weren't too happy with Andrew Carlson, who pitched a no hitter and racked up ten Ks (he gave up zero walks). Carlson has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Luke Backes, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (three). Another player making a difference was Quinn Minyard, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.
Trinity Classical Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Canyon didn't got any hits.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Western Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. Everything went their way against Entrepreneur on Tuesday as Western Christian made off with a 13-0 victory.
Will Stradley was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Stradley was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.
In other batting news, Western Christian got a big performance out of James Mack, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Reece Peters was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-3.
Western Christian's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Trinity Classical Academy, their record is now 3-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Trinity Classical Academy has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 10 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Western Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
