Bishop Ward has been on the road for four straight, but on Monday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Maranatha Christian Academy Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On Friday, Bishop Ward was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 55-50 to the Seahawks.
Maranatha Christian Academy won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. They suffered a rough 80-54 loss at the hands of Bishop Seabury Academy. While losing is never fun, Maranatha Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 266th, while the Seahawks are ranked 108th).
Bishop Ward's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-6. As for Maranatha Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.
Bishop Ward was able to grind out a solid win over the Eagles in their previous matchup back in January, winning 53-41. Will Bishop Ward repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
