February 5, 2024: Kansas City, KS 66102 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Bishop Ward Cyclones (Kansas City, KS) and the visiting Maranatha Christian Academy Eagles (Shawnee, KS), saw Bishop Ward's basketball squad hold off Maranatha Christian Academy by a tally of 53-52.
With the victory, Bishop Ward improves its record to 8-6 on the campaign. The Cyclones travel to Heritage Christian Academy (Olathe, KS) to confront the Chargers in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 9. The Chargers come into the challenge with a record of 8-8. Heritage Christian Academy lost 73-58 in their recent non-league challenge against Bishop Seabury Academy (Lawrence, KS)
Next up, the Eagles confront the Cair Paravel Lions (Topeka, KS) in a Kaw Valley challenge, on Wednesday, February 7. Maranatha Christian Academy will attempt to improve on its 8-6 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 9-6 record after their 56-24 league win over Kansas City Christian School (Prairie Village, KS).
