Basketball Recap: Twelve Bridges Skates Past Del Campo with Ease

Twelve Bridges won the last time they faced Del Campo and things went their way on Thursday too. The Twelve Bridges Raging Rhinos simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Del Campo Cougars 57-19. The Raging Rhinos have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 23 points or more this season.

Twelve Bridges' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Addison Carpenter led the charge by putting up nine points and three steals. What's more, Carpenter also posted a 60% field goal percentage, which is the highest she's achieved since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Mia DeMatteis, who posted nine points and three steals.

Twelve Bridges smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds every time they've taken the court this season.

Despite the defeat, Del Campo saw an underclassman step up: freshman Kami Vrapi put up six points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabby Hays, who had no points and five boards.

Twelve Bridges' win bumped their record up to 17-8. As for Del Campo, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-20 record this season.

Coming up, Twelve Bridges will face off against Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Del Campo does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
