The Sequoia Ravens won the last time they faced the Jefferson Grizzlies, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Sequoia came out on top against the Grizzlies by a score of 39-26. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Sequoia.
Jefferson lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Grace Wang, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and five steals. Wang has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 11 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaliyah Hall, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Sequoia is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. As for Jefferson, they dropped their record down to 10-11 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sequoia will take on the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Jefferson, they will head out on the road to face off against the Colts at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Mariah Flores and Wang.
