It was a good run, but the Upper Moreland Bears unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a hard 45-31 fall against Lower Moreland. Upper Moreland was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Lower Moreland apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Lower Moreland's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mollie Martin, who scored seven points along with four steals. Briana Mcferran was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Upper Moreland's loss dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Lower Moreland, they pushed their record up to 11-4 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home.
Upper Moreland will take on William Tennent at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. William Tennent will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 293rd, while Upper Moreland is ranked 141st). As for Lower Moreland, they will head out on the road to face off against Cheltenham at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
