Enochs is preparing for their first league matchup of the season on Monday. They will challenge the Pitman Pride at 4:00 p.m. Pitman took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Enochs, who comes in off a win.
Enochs is headed into the matchup having just posted their closest win since May 2, 2025 on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Laguna Creek 10-8. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.
Owen Kellert looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Enochs is 3-1 when Kellert allows one or fewer earned runs, but 2-4 otherwise.
At the plate, Brooks Opsahl and Bryan Delgado did most of the damage at the plate: Opsahl went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one run, while Delgado went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most runs Delgado has posted since back in May of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Pierce Vongphakdy, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
Enochs was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Pitman suffered their closest loss since April 14, 2025 on Thursday. They fell just short of Lodi by a score of 7-5. The Pride have struggled against the Flames recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Nolan Walker and Jackson Way did some serious damage despite the final result: Walker got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, while Way went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run.
Pitman's defeat dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Enochs, the win got them back to even at 5-5.
Enochs couldn't quite get it done against Pitman when the teams last played back in March of 2025 as they fell 7-3. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
