Even though the Temecula Prep Patriots have not done well against the Nuview Bridge Knights recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Temecula Prep managed a 49-45 win over the Knights. The victory was nothing new for Temecula Prep as they're now sitting on five straight.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Temecula Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zylah Coleman, who almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine rebounds. Coleman is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabella Hassankhail, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Temecula Prep is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 13-8 record this season. As for Nuview Bridge, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-9.
Temecula Prep will head out on the road to challenge the Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Nuview Bridge, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Rangers at 4:00 p.m. Santa Rosa Academy's defense has only allowed 29.7 points per game this season, so the Knights' offense will have their work cut out for them.
