Wonderful College Prep Academy had lost five straight on the road, but  on Thursday they dropped their record down to 5-14 to make it six. They lost  17-7 to the Orange Cove Titans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  13-3  back in April.
 Wonderful College Prep Academy saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Sebastian Ruiz, who  fired off two  home runs while going 2-for-4.
As for Orange Cove, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won 11 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record  this season. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by six  runs or more this season.
On Orange Cove's side,  Adrian Gonzalez tossed a big game,   striking out eight batters over  5.1 innings while giving up  three earned  (and four unearned) runs off   eight  hits (and not a single walk). Gonzalez also  tossed  no  walks, which is notable because the Titans are 10-2 when he allows at  most  two  walks, but 6-7 otherwise.
 On the hitting side,  Jeremiah Silva was a standout: he got on base  in all five of his plate appearances with four  runs, two  stolen bases,  and three  RBI. That's the most  stolen bases  he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was  Josiah Guerra, who  got on base  in four of his five plate appearances with four  stolen bases, four  runs,  and two  RBI.
 Coming up, Wonderful College Prep Academy is taking a road trip to  take on Farmersville  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Orange Cove, they will challenge Summit Charter Collegiate Academy at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The last three games the Bears have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
