The West Shamokin Wolves are on the road again on Wednesday and play against the Westmont Hilltop Hilltoppers at 6:00 p.m. on December 27th. West Shamokin will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 533rd, while Westmont Hilltop is ranked 76th).
Last Thursday, West Shamokin suffered a rough 60-34 loss at the hands of River Valley.
Westmont Hilltop has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 20 points or more this season. They blew past Somerset 67-27 on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Westmont Hilltop has managed all season.
West Shamokin's loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-5. As for Westmont Hilltop, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.
West Shamokin strolled past Westmont Hilltop in their previous matchup back in February of 2018 by a score of 49-34. Will West Shamokin repeat their success, or does Westmont Hilltop have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
