Despite their loss, Trinity saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Elsie Storckman, who posted ten points along with five boards and four blocks, was perhaps the best of all. Storckman is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last eight games she's played. Another player making a difference was Claire Cox, who earned six points and six steals.
Meanwhile, Modoc entered their tilt with Mt. Shasta on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 68-16 win over the Bears. The Braves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 21 points or more this season.
Trinity better focus on containing Mackenzie Diven and Katie Erquiaga as the pair were huge in Modoc's win. Diven shot 47% from the field to rack up 18 points and four steals, while Erquiaga dropped a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds. That's the most points Diven has posted since back in January of 2025. Allie Weber was another key player, going 5-for-10 en route to 12 points.
Modoc smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in 15 consecutive contests.
Modoc's victory bumped their record up to 16-4. As for Trinity, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-10.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Trinity has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 32.3 boards per game. However, it's not like Modoc struggles in that department as they've been averaging 35.6 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Trinity didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Modoc when the teams last played back in March of 2025, but they still walked away with a 41-37 win. Do the Wolves have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Braves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
