Elsinore and Temescal Canyon are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2018, but likely not for long. The Tigers will be playing at home against the Titans at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Elsinore sitting on 11 straight wins and Temescal Canyon on three.
While Elsinore's victory against Tahquitz wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers never let the Titans get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Thursday.

Not much got past Jacob Farias, who gave up just two hits to keep Tahquitz off the board. Farias has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Elsinore's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Sam Poirier, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.
Meanwhile, Temescal Canyon made easy work of Cornerstone Christian on Thursday and carried off an 8-2 win.
Julian Gutierrez looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits.
On the hitting side, Temescal Canyon let Anthony Deleon and Andrew Becerra run wild. Deleon got on base in two of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases and two runs, while Becerra went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those three runs gave Becerra a new career-high. JT Carlile was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Temescal Canyon always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .526. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cornerstone Christian only posted an OBP of .286.
Elsinore's victory bumped their record up to 17-3. As for Temescal Canyon, their win bumped their record up to 14-10.
Temescal Canyon's pitching crew better be locked in on Tuesday. Elsinore hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.6 home runs per game. It's a different story for Temescal Canyon, though, as they've been averaging only 0 home runs. Will they be able to keep Elsinore in the park?
Elsinore was able to grind out a solid victory over Temescal Canyon in their previous meeting back in March, winning 8-5. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Titans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
