Kern Valley has been on the road for two straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Boron Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Kern Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Boron likes a good challenge.
Kern Valley posted their biggest victory yet this season on Tuesday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 61-21 victory over Mammoth. With Kern Valley ahead 35-9 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Ava Elliott was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. She hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Leenah Troller, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Boron suffered their biggest defeat since November 13, 2023 last Tuesday. They were the victim of a tough 48-22 loss at the hands of Bishop Union. Boron has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Kern Valley has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Boron, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Everything went Kern Valley's way against Boron in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 as Kern Valley made off with a 46-22 win. With Kern Valley ahead 27-5 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
