South is 0-10 against North since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The South Spartans will be playing at home against the North Stars at 6:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
While South couldn't quite beat East Bakersfield on Thursday, the two-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 50-point defeat they were dealt last Tuesday. South fell just short of East Bakersfield by a score of 32-30. South has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, North suffered a tough 62-37 defeat at the hands of Tehachapi on Thursday. While losing is never fun, North can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 548th, while Tehachapi is ranked 154th).
South has not been sharp recently as the team's lost ten of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season. As for North, they dropped their record down to 12-8 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
South was taken down by North 57-29 in their previous meeting back in January. Will South have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more basketball content.
