Mountain View is 0-10 against Marshall since April of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The Vikings will head out to take on the Eagles at 3:30 p.m. Mountain View is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.
On Wednesday, Mountain View was able to grind out a solid win over Gabrielino, taking the game 7-3. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
RYAN MOLINAR spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits.

LUKE DAVILA
| 03/25/26 @ Gabrielino | 4 |
| 04/18/25 @ Arroyo | 3 |
| 02/19/25 @ La Puente | 3 |
| 02/24/26 vs La Puente | 2 |
| 05/15/25 vs Redlands Adventist Academy | 2 |
At the plate, LUKE DAVILA was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was ALEX MORENO, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Marshall). They were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over El Monte on Wednesday. The Eagles not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since May 5, 2025 (when they won 12-0).
Caleb Kaloostian looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Elijah Lain was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Mullins, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Marshall kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 9.2.
Mountain View's record is now 8-4. As for Marshall, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 3-9.
Mountain View suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Marshall in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Can the Vikings avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
