The Fellowship Christian Paladins will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Wesleyan Wolves at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fellowship Christian's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Wesleyan's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
On Tuesday, Fellowship Christian had just enough and edged out Mount Pisgah Christian 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Paladins have posted against the Patriots since April 13, 2021.
Jack Dart looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wesleyan). They never let St. Francis get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won eight in a row.
Billy Gingrey looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Carter Hayes was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Grayson McCollum, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one double.
Wesleyan lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Wesleyan now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Fellowship Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.
Fellowship Christian couldn't quite finish off Wesleyan in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 and fell 7-5. Can Fellowship Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
