Those  nine  strikeouts gave  him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs and  stealing four bases while  getting on base  in two of his four plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  Cristian Torres was a standout: he scored three  runs while going 3-for-4. What's more,  he posted two  RBI, the most he's  had since back in May of 2024.  Raphael Morales was another key player,  scoring two  runs and  stealing three bases while going 2-for-3.
Golden Valley's win bumped their record up to 2-8-1. As for Del Oro, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the  loss, which was their third straight  at home.
Golden Valley will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Suns: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
