Sophie Grier was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up four earned runs off five hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
