Tulare Western has gone 9-1 against Tulare Union recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Mustangs will square off against the Tribe at 7:00 p.m. Tulare Western will be strutting in after a win while Tulare Union will be coming in after a loss.
Tulare Western is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Lemoore 13-1 on Friday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Mustangs with their most commanding win of the season.

William Masterson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching four innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other pitching news, Luke Rice looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Chi'El Sanchez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April. Michael Sanderson was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs.
Tulare Western was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .542. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Tulare Union was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Dinuba, falling 12-2. Surprisingly, this marked the Tribe's third straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.
Tulare Union saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Stevenson, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.
Tulare Western has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-12-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Tulare Union, their loss dropped their record down to 7-18-1.
