Grandview has gone 8-2 against Cherry Creek recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Wolves will square off against the Bruins at 4:15 p.m.
Grandview easily dispatched Smoky Hill on Thursday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Wolves fell just short of Arapahoe by a score of 10-8 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Wolves have suffered since August 22nd.

Sasha Kennedy was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games she's played. Monroe Donaldson was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Cherry Creek owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Thursday. They put the hurt on Arapahoe with a sharp 8-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bruins, who have now won nine contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
The result came thanks to Emma Brown's shutout, as she gave up just four hits and racked up six Ks.
On the hitting side, Harper Bostock was incredible, firing off two home runs while going 2-for-4. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Elena Sepesi, who went 1-for-4 with one home run.
Cherry Creek lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Arapahoe didn't launched any.
Cherry Creek has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Grandview, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-8.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Grandview hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .351. However, it's not like Cherry Creek struggles in that department as they've averaged .370. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Grandview's way against Cherry Creek in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, as Grandview made off with a 9-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolves since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
