The Anaheim Colonists put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Santa Fe 66-36 at home. The result was nothing new for Anaheim, who have now won five matchups by 30 points or more so far this season.
Gisele Martinez continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 16 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals. The matchup was her sixth in a row with at least ten points. Aleah McGregor was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Defeat or not, Santa Fe got some senior leadership from Emily Collins who scored 5 points along with 7 rebounds and Des Ferguson who scored 11 points along with 8 rebounds.
Anaheim's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-0. As for Santa Fe, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-2.
Anaheim will head out on the road to face off against Edison at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Edison will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 895th, while Anaheim is ranked 88th). As for Santa Fe, they will square off against San Gabriel at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
