The Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks will take on the Marana Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Ironwood Ridge took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They took down Canyon del Oro 24-6.

Ironwood Ridge's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Maximus Harder, who threw for 192 yards and one TD, and also punched in one score on the ground. A healthy portion of Harder's aerial production (81 yards to be exact) went to Zarin Robbins.
Ironwood Ridge didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Corbin Crosby. Kaiden Becker was another major factor on D, picking up two sacks and making five total tackles.
Meanwhile, Marana entered their tilt with Buena on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Colts 52-25. The Tigers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Ironwood Ridge better focus on containing Jeffrey Smith III and Colten Meyer as the pair were huge in Marana's win. Smith III rushed for 156 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 8.7 yards per carry, while Meyer threw for 303 yards and three TDs. Those 156 rushing yards gave Smith III a new career-high. Jaxsun Sharp was Meyer's top target, picking up 106 receiving yards and one score.
One reason for the win was Marana's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. Justin Elder was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself.
Ironwood Ridge's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Marana, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
Everything came up roses for Ironwood Ridge against Marana in their previous matchup back in November of 2021, as the team secured a 69-27 win. Do the Nighthawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
