Jurupa Valley has gone a perfect 10-0 against Rubidoux recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Jaguars will be playing at home against the Falcons at 3:15 p.m. Jurupa Valley will be strutting in after a win while Rubidoux will be coming in after a loss.
If Jurupa Valley beats Rubidoux with four runs on Monday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. The Jaguars had just enough and edged out Norte Vista 4-3 on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Jaguars in their matchups with the Braves: they've now won four in a row.
Logan Clelland spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on seven hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Jurupa Valley let Aiden Bravo and Zack Jimenez run wild. Bravo went 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one double, while Jimenez went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. That's the most hits Bravo has posted since back in March.
Meanwhile, Rubidoux was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against La Sierra, falling 12-2.
Rubidoux saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nicolas Elizondo, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Jacob Navarette was another, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.
Rubidoux's loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Jurupa Valley, their win bumped their record up to 11-13.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Jurupa Valley has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Rubidoux struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Jurupa Valley came out on top in a nail-biter against Rubidoux in their previous matchup back in April, sneaking past 6-4. Do the Jaguars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Falcons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
