It was another big night for Nia Rogers, who scored 39 points along with six steals. That makes it 20 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Redwood Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Chisom Nwebube, who scored nine points.
Redwood Christian is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for Head-Royce, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5.
Redwood Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Athenian at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Athenian is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak. Head-Royce won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Valley Christian at 5:30 p.m. on January 26th. Valley Christian comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 20 points in their last five games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
