It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but High Tech SD ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Canyon Hills Rattlers 11-10. This was a revenge game for the Storm: when they faced off against the Rattlers on Wednesday, they had to take a 19-12 defeat.
Julian Acevedo was excellent, going 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2025. Adrian Acevedo also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: High Tech SD kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
High Tech SD has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Canyon Hills, their loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-5.
