The Faith Christian Academy Lions were the 51-30 winner over the Collegium Charter Cougar when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Faith Christian Academy took a 39-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of Collegium Charter on Thursday. Faith Christian Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Collegium Charter's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kori Beasley, who scored ten points. Another player making a difference was Ciani Hamilton, who scored 11 points.
Faith Christian Academy's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-5. As for Collegium Charter, they pushed their record up to 4-11 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Faith Christian Academy will take on MAST Community Charter at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Collegium Charter on the road again on Monday and play against Bristol at 3:45 p.m. on January 22nd.
