Hanford West hasn't had much luck against Tulare Union recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Hanford West Huskies will look to defend their home court against the Tulare Union The Tribe at 6:30 p.m. Hanford West has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Hanford West is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their contest on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 71-20 victory over Lindsay. With the Huskies ahead 44-11 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Hanford West's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kayla Silva, who went 8 for 12 on her way to 18 points in addition to six assists and three steals. Silva is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Skyelar Smith, who posted seven points along with 13 boards and five steals.

Meanwhile, Tulare Union came up short against Sanger on Tuesday, falling 49-28. While losing is never fun, the The Tribe can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 221st, while the Apaches are ranked 94th).

Hanford West's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Tulare Union, they dropped their record down to 7-3 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.
