The Holmes County Blue Devils will venture away from home to face off against the Arnold Marlins at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Holmes County came into this matchup off a tough ten-run loss on Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Branford by a score of 2-0 on Saturday. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Blue Devils were not able to get on the board.

Holmes County got a good showing from Kinsley Parker, who tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Parker has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Holmes County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaycee Bowers, who went 1-for-2 with one double.
The home team had won the previous three meetings between Arnold and Liberty County, and Arnold kept the tradition alive. The Marlins came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bulldogs on Thursday, sneaking past 5-3.
Ryleigh Pittman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Alexys Shewmaker, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Hayley Sexton was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run.
Arnold's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-7. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Holmes County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-8.
Holmes County was able to grind out a solid victory over Arnold in their previous matchup back in February, winning 7-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Devils since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
