After losing to the Newport Christian Seahawks the last time they met, The Webb Schools Gauls decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Webb Schools walked away with a 45-34 victory over Newport Christian on Tuesday.
It was another big night for Xajani Badkar, who almost dropped a triple-double on 16 points, nine rebounds, and 14 steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of The Webb Schools' points. Another player making a difference was Nicole Rabadi, who scored six points along with 19 rebounds and six steals.
The Webb Schools' win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Newport Christian, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
The Webb Schools will be playing in front of their home fans against Waverly at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Newport Christian, they will head out on the road to challenge San Gabriel Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
