After three games on the road, Ukiah is heading back home. They will take on the Analy Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Ukiah suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Thursday. They took a serious blow against Cardinal Newman, falling 74-12. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Ukiah has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Analy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 40-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of Montgomery. While losing is never fun, Analy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 378th, while Montgomery is ranked 119th).
Despite their defeat, Analy saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Ava Rosenberg, who scored 11 points along with two blocks, was perhaps the best of all. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rosenberg has scored all season. Shawnessy Conway-O'Neill was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with two steals.
Ukiah's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 6-16. As for Analy, their loss dropped their record down to 9-12.
Ukiah opened the new year with a less-than-successful 40-32 defeat to Analy. Will Ukiah have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other basketball content.
