Softball Recap: North Posey's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Eight

North Posey had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.6 runs) and they went ahead and made it eight on Tuesday. They blew past the Pike Central Chargers 12-6. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won nine matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Paige Vaughn was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Versteeg, who went 1-for-2 with one home run.

North Posey always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pike Central only posted an OBP of .364.

North Posey pushed their record up to 15-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Pike Central, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.

North Posey wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 5-4 defeat against Boonville on the 15th. As for Pike Central, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-6 loss against Forest Park on the 15th.
