The Athens Academy Spartans will head out on the road to  face off against  the Rabun County Wildcats  at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
Last Thursday, Athens Academy came up short against Commerce  and fell  7-2.
 Meanwhile,  it may have taken  eight innings to finish the job, but Rabun County ultimately got the result they hoped for  on Friday. They won by a  run and slipped past Elbert County  5-4. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
 Rabun County has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-9 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 8.1 runs over those games. As for Athens Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-13.
 Athens Academy skirted past Rabun County  5-4 in their previous meeting  back in February of 2018. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spartans since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
