High Tech SD is 8-2 against Crawford since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Storm will host the Colts at 4:00 p.m. The last four games High Tech SD has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
High Tech SD couldn't beat Lincoln on Thursday even though they stacked five runs on them in the fifth inning. The Storm fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 8-6. The Storm haven't had much luck with the Hornets recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.
Devon Caris was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched five innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Landon Carroll made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Crawford, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Canyon Hills on Thursday as they made off with a 20-5 victory. Considering the Colts have won eight contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
The team relied heavily on Abraham Carillo-Ceron, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with four runs, three doubles, and four RBI. Those three doubles gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ray Sanchez, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Crawford always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .638. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Canyon Hills only posted an OBP of .345.
High Tech SD's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Crawford, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-10 record.
High Tech SD might still be hurting after the 16-5 loss they got from Crawford in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Storm avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
